Our Girls

Himalayan Joy Home seeks to provide a nurturing, joyful home for abandoned infant girls in India.
We are glad you are here and encourage you to engage with us in this mission to rescue and transform lives in India.

We are blessed to have rescued two baby girls so far, Kushi and Sunana.

Kushi was born October 16, 2016 and brought to us six days later. Her parents already had 3 girls and wanted another son, so the father threatened to leave when she was born and she did not receive proper care. She is not healthy, always smiling, and starting to sing along with worship.

Sunana was brought to us in April, 2017, approximately 1-1/2 years old (birthday unknown). Her father died when she was a few months old, and was abadoned when her mother remarried a man who would not take her kids (unfortunately a common occurrence). She was extremely malnourished and a bit traumatized when she came to us, but now is eating well and loves to clap along with the older girls at worship.
